The Smithsonian Museum recovered sound from disks made in the 1800`s

The Smithsonian Museum has recovered sound from six experimental Volta disks made between 1881 and 1885, which included recordings from Alexander Graham Bell. This is the first step of an on-going project to preserve and catalogue the museum's early recording collection.
